Annual Meeting This Sunday!

The annual meeting will be held on Sunday, June 8, at 12 p.m. in the Meeting Room. All who attend will hear reports on the current year and learn about plans for new initiatives. Members will be asked to vote on a resolution to raise funds for the Beacon Light the Way Capital Campaign, the 2025–26 budget, and the 25% Plate Recipient for 2025–26, as well as electing nominees to leadership positions. Light refreshments will be served in Fellowship Hall after the morning worship service to tide us over. Please join us. Your voice is important!

  • Heartland String Band Practice - Fellowship Hall

    The Heartland String Band, a part of our music program, was founded by Carol Marks in August of 2001, but because of Covid they have not been able to play together in a while. Sally McGuire has graciously agreed to revive this merry band. The band will practice from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in Fellowship Hall (latecomers welcome). They play old-time and Celtic music as well as folks songs, and all lovers of this music are welcome. Dulcimers, fiddles, cellos, pennywhistles, guitars, banjos, mandolins, even accordions!

    Choir schedule (starting August 8):
    Thursday evenings: 7:00-8:30. Childcare available upon request.
    Sunday mornings: 8:45 rehearsal for 9:30 service, 10:45 rehearsal for 11:30 service. Childcare always available.

    Choir exercises body, mind, and spirit. Enhances your vocal fluency and keeps your voice young and flexible. Engages deep listening. Improves posture and lung capacity. Calms and focuses the mind (you won't have time for any other worries during rehearsal). Gives you the best seat in the house for the children's moment. And occasionally puts you smack in the middle of a masterpiece!
