2025 Earth Day Celebrations

Green Sanctuary Tree Give Away
After both April 27th Earth Day services Green Sanctuary Task Force members will be in Fellowship to hand out 300 trees and bushes. The twelve species are described in this PDF to help you decide which one would be best for you, saving everyone time on the 27th. Here are the DNR tree-planting instructions. If you have any doubt, we suggest that you check with your utilities before planting to avoid hitting something underground. Using the app Indiana 811 is an easy way to ask utilities flag their underground locations on your property at no charge. NOTE: a request needs to be made at least two working days before digging.

Green Sanctuary and Grounds Committee Backyard Revival Kickoff
Do you have more invasive species at your home than you can handle on your own? Would you love to remove them while having fun and building community? Join an information session from 1:00 to 2:00 on April 27th followed by some invasive species removal on church grounds. After the 27th the group will gather on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of upcoming months, weather permitting, alternating between the homes of participants.
