Yes, I am of the nature to grow old. I will not hold my life at bay.
Yes, I am of the nature to have ill-health. I will not turn away.
Yes, I will be separated from all that I love. I will love anyway.
Yes, I am of the nature to die. I will know that this moment is precious; I will know when to let go.
My deeds are my closest companions, I am the beneficiary of my deeds, my deeds are the ground on which I stand.
I will whole heartedly engage in life, hold nothing back, do everything for all its worth.
I will sit with my beloved friends, just to engage, just to breathe, just to live in this moment and keep each other good company.
Just to do the practice, just to eat, just to sleep, just to fluff the pillow
and roll over.
Just to be stuck in traffic, just to argue with passion, love with passion,
seek justice with passion.
Just to seek peace and love, to smile, to grasp the good energy that surrounds me,
Just to take these keys of happiness into my heart, keep only what I need,
And give the rest away.
