Community Care and Connection
Welcome to our Community Care and Connection page, where we highlight ways to care for and connect with fellow Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington congregants. This space serves as a bulletin page that will be updated based on need.
It is with sadness that we share the news that Deb Tubergen died on Monday, December 15th. Deb and her husband Dane Tubergen moved to Bloomington in July to be closer to Deb’s daughter, Stephanie Serriere. Deb and Dane began attending UUCB and Deb got involved with the Chalice Circle group at Meadowood and our Women’s Alliance. We send our love and sincerest condolences to Dane Tubergen, Stephanie Serriere, and to all of the Deb’s family and loved ones, including her four children and nine grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Deb’s life will be held at UUCB on Saturday, January 10th at 1pm.
Longtime UU member David Keppel has recovered from recent back surgery. He welcomes visitors at Brookdale Senior Living Center, 3802 S Sare Rd, Bloomington, IN 47401. He doesn’t mind drop-in visits and looks forward to reconnecting with his UU friends. If you have questions about visiting David, contact Kathleen Sideli, Chair of the UUCB Caring Committee, using this contact form.
