Fall 2020 Programming

Fall 2020- Religious Education Programming

This year we are offering programs that are designed for the whole family!
We are working to provide opportunities for both convenient on-demand resources and interactive community time together during this time when we cannot physically gather.

Registration is NOW OPEN!  September is a month to try things out and see what may work for you and your family.  The deadline for registering is Tuesday, August 25th!

Focus: Seeking the Spirit
*bi-monthly Spirit Play baskets travel from family to family
*explore our UU Promises through story and wondering, including our 8th promise
*social justice connections to each promise
We hope to support a strong sense of Unitarian Universalist identity.  This program will provide ways for families to connect with one another through writing and art rather than real-time sharing.

Focus: Building Community

*small moments for connection centered in the home

*bi-monthly parent check-in via Zoom: 2nd Thursday evening  7 pm-8 pm, 4th Tuesday morning via Zoom 9:30 am-10:30 am
(Choose to come to one or both times!)

We hope to create a supportive community of parents interested in spiritual deepening by offering resources that fit easily into the everyday lives of busy families!

Focus: Changing the World
*bi-monthly meetings via Zoom
*collective exploration of 1 story and 1 concept per month, additional resources available for pick up and individual exploration.
–2nd Sunday- 11:30am-12:30pm for parents and caregivers

We will utilize picture books and lessons for preschool-5th grade, however, this is accessible to all ages.  We will use stories that center characters of color, tell the story of important figures in history, as well as those that provide opportunities for critical conversations.  We will learn about and discuss the 8th Principle:  Journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.

Time and Day for Youth Group Meetings are still being determined.  Youth in 7th-12th grade, please complete this quick survey to help usplan!
