Widening the Circle of Concern
We will use “Widening the Circle of Concern: The 2020 Report of the UUA Commission on Institutional Change” as the starting point for listening to the voices of marginalized people in our faith community and exploring together how we can accountably live our eight principles within our congregation and in our broader social justice activities. We will identify and prioritize action items for implementation in near term and for further development by interested participants in the longer
term. Longer-term recommendations will be presented to the Board and Congregation before the June 2023 Congregational Meeting.
We encourage and welcome everyone who is interested to join us – regardless of whether you participated in the spring when we read and discussed the first sections of the report. While our fall meetings will be informed by material from the report, we will not be following a section-by-section format so newcomers can readily participate.
Meetings will be held every-other Sunday evening from 7-8:30 pm on Zoom: August 28th , September 11th , September 25th , October 9th , October 23rd, and November 6th .
Facilitators: Ruth Aydt, Stephanie Kimball, Martha Oakley
