Adult Religious Education

Adult Education class in church library

What is Adult Religious Education all about?

Do you ever feel like you have to talk about a topic with folks who understand your concerns? Adult Religious Education (ARE) is the place to find that stimulating exchange of ideas. ARE welcomes you as a participant or a presenter. Our groups are characteristically lively with pros and cons of an issue. This is where you'll get a second look at the Bible; learn of recent research into the authenticity of biblical material; answer the question, "Who is the real historical Jesus?" Popular topics include exploration of the world's religions, UU history, and what it means to be a UU. We even delve into art and into sustainable building. This year we inaugurated a monthly film series and potluck, which brings folks together for an energetic discussion after the film. Our physical facility offers superb classroom space to keep our program going.
