Campus Ministry
Indiana Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry (IUUCM) is the campus ministry group of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington. We are open to all members of the campus community, but are especially focused on the needs of students. We meet to worship, talk about the issues that concern us, and have fun. If you are an IU student and Unitarian Universalism is something you are interested in, or are just plain curious about, come check us out.
This semester, we are meeting WEDNESDAYS 7-8 PM in Ballantine 004 (next to the spinning globe) for informal worship and conversation. Our worship takes many forms, from conversation to crafts to music to meditation. Once a month, one of our ministers will join us. Please come visit with us!
We also meet with the Rev. Emily Leite once a month for a brown bag lunch in the Cyber Cafe in the basement of the Wells Library. Join us every THIRD THURSDAY from 11:30 - 1:30; the dates are February 21, March 20, April 17.
You can also join us the FIRST SUNDAY of every month for lunch! We gather for a meal at vegetarian-friendly local restaurants. Meet us at the courtyard entrance after second service, or check Facebook for location details.
An important part of our UU experience is in giving back to our communities. Last year over spring break, a couple of group members went down to New Orleans and volunteered through the First UU New Orleans with the rebuilding.
Keep in touch for updates concerning our service projects, social events, and worships!
